This resource directory provides information on and links to public- and private-sector sustainable tourism experts that USAID missions and field offices can access for assistance with the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of successful and sustainable tourism projects. It includes listings for major Sustainable Tourism contractors, NGOs, and other partners and collaborators who are actively involved with international tourism development activities.
Listings include information on the following:
- Areas of tourism expertise (for example, community-based tourism, cultural tourism, ecotourism, poverty reduction, economic growth);
- Particular tourism niches, where applicable;
- Geographic areas of expertise;
- Listing of USAID-affiliated projects; and
- Partnerships and collaborations with other agencies and organizations in the tourism sector
The information posted here is by no means complete, and we invite additional submissions to provide improved access to expertise for USAID staff and others accessing this site. If your organization is actively engaged in international sustainable tourism development activities and would like to be included in the directory, please contact the NRIC Webmaster with a brief description of activities, following the posted format and include a link to your website.
